Graduation Speech
Graduation speech for My AWESOME 6th
Graders
First
of all I just want to say I am so proud of you! Congratulations!!!! You did it!
I am so happy for all of you and so proud of all your hard work! However, I am
so sad because I will miss all you so much! I had fun teaching you, licking
your elbows, eating lunch together, watching your faces as you tried my
American candy and just laughing. I always left class happy! You all made my
life bright and sunny! But now you are moving on to Junior High School! Think
of your life as a book and you have just finished writing one huge chapter, but
there so many more pages left to fill. Junior High School is the next chapter!
When
I was your age I was a terrible reader, a bad speller, very very very bad at
math and honestly I just did not want to do my school work. But even though I
was very bad at school my mother knew I was made to be so much more. See my
mother had huge expectations for me. An expectation is the belief that
something can be done. “You have to
expect things of yourself before you can do them.” – Michael Jordan
I
want you to know as you move on to Junior High School that I have high
expectations for you. I expect you to do your homework, get good grades, make
new friends, use your English and finish Junior High School. I expect this from
you, because I know not only can you do it but you can so much more. Look
around! See your mother, father, and teachers we all believe in you and expect
big things from you! We know that you will grow up and finish Junior High
School and High School and go on to do big things. When I look at you I don’t
see students I see future teachers, doctors, police officers, engineers,
athletes, leaders, and whatever you desire to be. I know that if you TRY you can do ANYTHING! Just remember to have high
expectations for yourself! I will always remember all of you! May God bless
each of you! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!
